“Caregiving and Caregivers’ Day”

On Saturday September 7, 2019, 10AM, the Visiting Committee hosted a “Caregiving and Caregivers’ Day,” organized by member Will Rogers. The theme was “Being an Agent of Healing: How do we care for seniors and other folks with disabilities or illness?” What resources are out there, especially in terms of prevention of isolation? How do we care for caregivers? Anyone at the meeting (or nearby meetings) is invited to this event, including young folks, as well as nearby organizations who offer care resources. Books on caregiving are provided on this handout provided by Sharon Waller.

Introduction to Quakerism for Newcomers. Periodically, the Meeting hosts an Introduction to Quakerism for Newcomers.  Participants learn about Quaker history, what it means to be a Quaker today, and also about opportunities to participate in Berkeley Meeting.
